Spur-less Tree Climbing

Curriculum Breakdown – 16 Hours

The objective of this informative, interactive and practical training course is to provide attendees with the theoretical and practical elements of safely climbing trees in accordance with industry standards in the province of BC.  This 2-day training course will cover a range of topics including:

Curriculum

  • Modern Arboriculture,
  • Tree worker safety,
  • Tree and Site Assessment,
  • Tree climbing equipment,
  • Pofessional practice and standards,
  • Basic and Advanced tree climbing techniques.

By the end of this training course, the participants will be able to:

  • Identify and communicate the required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and tree climbing equipment which is used in modern Arboriculture,
  • Communicate and practice pre-climb tree assessment and common tree climbing techniques,
  • Endorse proper tree care practices using the practical information gained during this interactive training session.

Cost: $650.00 per person

Note: Attendees are required to bring their own personal protective equipment, their regularly used tree climbing gear.
