WorkSafeBC Part 26 requires that arborists working aloft have rescue capability on site. This course builds that capability with your actual team, not a scenario read out of a manual.
This is a hands-on, reps-first course: a gear check, a short theory portion, then the rest of the day is spent practicing real rescue scenarios. The philosophy is simple. repetition is what makes rescue technique reliable when it actually matters, so classroom time stays minimal and practice time doesn't.
Who This Course Is For
Arborists and tree care crews working aloft who need on-site rescue capability
Companies meeting WorkSafeBC Part 26 rescue-capability requirements for staff working at height
All skill levels, including apprentices and emergency responders. Prior climbing experience is recommended but not required

Built on reps, not lecture. After a gear check and brief theory, the rest of the day is continuous, hands-on rescue practice.
Performance-based certification. Certification is awarded for successfully demonstrating a rescue in one or more scenarios, not just for showing up.

Equipment Requirements:
Participants should bring their own PPE and standard climbing gear. Rental climbing kits are available for participants who don't have their own.
